Coronavirus and why you should probably, relax. (and wash your hands)

First things first—Did you wash your hands today?

Originally discovered in Wuhan, China, Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. Of the 93,000 active cases of Coronavirus, it is important to note that 48,469 people have had a full recovery, with a *small fatality rate of 2.3%. (For reference, 12,000 Americans will die from the flu in any given year).

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes and/or by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching your own mouth, nose, or eyes.

Although there is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus, The best way to prevent illness is to do your part by limiting transmission and exposure. Below are some quick tips from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

4. Stay home when you are sick.

5. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
